Every first Friday and third Saturday of the month
The Art Walk takes place on Beach Blvd in Gulfport, Florida from 6pm-10pm.
"Beach Boulevard was buzzing with activity Saturday night in Gulfport during the July 19 Art Walk. Despite the heat and humidity we are famous for this time of year, there was an abundance of people strolling the street, musicians playing, open shops, and of course, an eclectic variety of restaurants and eateries to inspire even the most selective of diners. Fortunately we were blessed by a clear sky and no rain for this event.
"The artists and vendors earnestly exhibited their work and were happy to share their interests and inspiration with all. In particular I took note of the unique jewelry designs by Kim Windham-O'Leary (KWO 'Second-Find Design") and the dizzying display of color in Byron Howe's (Art On Cloth) tie dye. The Art Walk is a perfect venue for budding as well as seasoned artists to showcase their work and a perfect event that draws visitors from near and far." - Theresa Magaz

A few of the artists you may see at the Gulfport Art Walk include:
RhondaK
Who is RhondaK? "I'm your friendly 9th generation Floridian dreadheaded Native Florida Folk Artist that specializes in funny bar signs, tiki bar wall hangings and mermaids like you used to see in Old Florida bars, beach bars and fun Florida places. I'm collected by many bars, restaurants, marinas and people who have or decorate tiki bars, beach houses and outside grilling spaces."
Byron Howe
Byron Howe (Art on Cloth) - "I have invented processes for creating patterns in natural fiber fabrics. Using tools of my own design, cloth manipulations, and unique techniques we are able to produce an infinite variety of geometric patterns and artistic expressions. This new technology allows us to make controlled line curvatures and create a host of interesting effects. Each item is handcrafted so that no two items are ever quite the same, even in recurring motifs."
Pat Hess
Pat Hess - "My love for wood started many years ago. Wood resonates a variety of colors; textures and odors depending on what part of the world the trees grow in. Mother Nature gives us a true gift of art in our daily views of our trees and forests. We can openly see the exterior beauty of our trees. As a woodturner, I can expose the interior beauty of the same trees once they can no longer stand on their own. A woodturner discovers the hidden treasures inside the trees as the wood spins around on the lathe and the gouge cuts and shapes to create the new beauty to behold. When I turn the wood I allow Mother Nature to dictate what will be created by the way she reveals the beauty inside. In essences, the woodturner enhances the natural beauty created by Mother Nature."
Gary Clark
Earth-friendly art based completely on recycling! Florida artist Gary Clark uses shells and found objects (no brushes!) as tools to carve acrylic paint into his one-of-a-kind images on recycled boards.
